— Our sister estate

Two hemispheres,one family

Benguela Cove, on the Walker Bay coastline of South Africa. Cool-climate wines from the estate that shares our family, our winemaker and our swallow.

One family, two coastlines

Two estates, one idea about wine

Benguela Cove sits on the Walker Bay coastline near Hermanus in South Africa, founded by Penny Streeter OBE, the entrepreneur behind Leonardslee Family Vineyards.

The two estates share a winemaker. Johann Fourie works across both, carrying the same cool-climate thinking from the ocean-cooled slopes of Walker Bay to the Wealden soils of West Sussex.

They share a symbol too. The barn swallow migrates each year between southern Africa and the gardens of Sussex, which is why the same bird appears on the wines from both estates.

Benguela Cove wines are sold in the United Kingdom through the estate's own UK shop, so every bottle comes direct from the people who made it.
